What you need to know about the

Grant Accountability and Transparency Act

Does your municipality rely on Motor Fuel Tax distributions? If so, this message is for you. 

The Illinois Department of Transportation recently circulated a letter requiring all Illinois counties and municipalities that recieve distributions register with the Grant Accountability and Transparency Act. 

There are four steps in registering: 
    1. Complete the grant registration form. 
    2. File for grantee pre-qualification. 
    3. Complete a fiscal and administration risk assessment form and an internal control questionnaire. 
    4. Declare your indirect cost rate.
